On 7 March 2025, the University of Twente hosted a workshop for high school teachers in mathematics and computer science on artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging. Supported by a 4TU.NIRICT Community grant, Clara Stegehuis and Dieuwertje Alblas developed the workshop. You can read a short report about the event on the 4TU.NIRICT website.
This workshop is part of the project 'Enhance understanding of the mathematics and computer science behind artificial intelligence (AI) among high school students and teachers'. Renée Prins (Chair of VO-HO netwerken, TU Delft), Hans Sterk (university lecturer, TU Eindhoven), and Rico van Lingen (high school teacher at Carmel College Salland, Raalte) are also part of this project. Apart from the aforementioned workshop, the project also involves developing educational material for high-school teachers and students.
