INTERIM TESTING IN BACHELOR COURSES: PRO’S AND CON’S
In 2012 interim testing was introduced for (almost) all bachelor courses at TU/e. These interim tests would provide early feedback to students about their academic progress and encourage them to engage with their learning at an early stage in each course. FUTURE ENGINEERING SKILLS IN HONG KONG AND SHENZHEN
In the summer of 2018 a group of 15 honours programme students from TU Delft, together with Prof. Peter Wieringa (HPD Dean & Vice-Rector at TU Delft) spent eleven days in Hong Kong and Shenzhen to learn about the local engineering culture. The group identified several factors in which the Hong & Shenzhen area engineering culture differs from that in the Netherlands. Read more about their findings.

4TU.CEE BLOG: LEARNING SPACES TOUR TO AMS
End of January 2019, 4TU.CEE visited the Amsterdam Metropolitan Institute. 30 participants from the 4 Technical Universities in the Netherlands participated in this first stop of the 4TU learning spaces tour. 4TU.CEE programme coordinators Renate Klaassen (TUD) and Chris Rouwenhorst (UT) wrote a blog about the visit that also includes the presentations. HOW TO GIVE EFFECTIVE FEEDBACK IN THE INTERNATIONAL CLASSROOM
On 14 December 2018, Marijke van Oppen and Angie Weinberger invited 4TU staff to explore how to give culturally-appropriate and effective feedback in an experiential workshop. In the workshop, participants practiced new methods for sharing feedback and how to apply them in an international classroom. Read more…

We have recently started two LinkedIn groups in which we would like to exchange knowledge and events on innovative engineering education. One group ‘4TU.CEE’ is more general in nature. TEACHING EXCELLENCE RECOGNITION
All four TU’s have decided on further recognition of teaching excellence. 4TU.CEE therefore engaged in two international studies by Ruth Graham. Besides the Teaching Cultures Survey, a ‘Roadmap for Change’study identified the next steps that should be

SENIOR UNIVERSITY TEACHING QUALIFICATION CEREMONY AT UT
You are invited to join the Senior University Teaching Qualification Ceremony (SKO) at UT. It takes place on April 18th, 15.00-17.00 at the University of Twente. Participants of the programme will receive their certificate from Mirjam Bult, vice president of the executive board. Afterwards they will present their projects on a poster market. Read more...
