This month the faculty of Science & Technology at University of Twente is organising the month of education. On Thursday 10 June 2021, Mirjam Bult (vice-president of the Executive Board), Jennifer Herek (Dean S&T), and Nieck Benes (Vice Dean on education S&T) will participate in a panel discussion together with leaders of shaping 2030, programme management and teachers. The topic is: 'Recognition and rewards in education'.
There is growing attention on how teaching is recognized and rewarded in an academic environment. This panel session is designed to discuss the challenges and opportunities of recognition and rewards in education: What are the experiences from our teachers? Are there more options to have a successful career path rather than only doing research? Are there concrete plans to support teachers to be better recognized and rewarded?
