Instruction video and module for experimental study of photosynthesis

Project introduction and background information

A series of short videos was made, explaining the main aspect of photosynthesis. These video are separately available via Blackboard, but they have also been made part of a e-learning package, developed with financial support from ‘towards biosolar cells’.

Objective and expected outcomes

The innovation project was aimed at a new way of organizing the experimental part of the study of photosynthesis. 

Results and learnings

The theoretical background was explained in an e-learning module, which was developed simultaneously, with support from ‘towards Biosolar Cells’. From the viewpoint of the students is may be seen as one package.  

Recommendations

Make a detailed script before you start making a video. Don’t underestimate the time required to make a video. My estimate is: one day for a 5 min video (if you have the graphics, figures etc available; if you don't, you need more time).
