The Netherlands Initiative for Educational Research has opened a call for proposals for practice-orientated research for higher education. Consortia of full professors at Dutch Universities or Lectors of Dutch Universities for applied sciences with education professionals of at least two higher education institutions can apply for funding. In total a budget of 1.750.000 euro is available.

Research projects should focus on a specific theme:
- Accessibility of higher education
- Small-scale education and student welfare
- Education and the connection with society
About NRO
The Netherlands Initiative for Educational Research (NRO) contributes to innovation and improvements in education by coordinating and funding educational research and by facilitating the connections between educational practice and research. NRO’s focus is on education research: whether that examines the class (processes and learning outcomes), school (organisation and effectiveness) or the entire of the Netherlands (education and society). NRO encourages and facilitates the dissemination of all knowledge emerging from research into educational practice.
