Project proposal nationally recognised Student Education Qualification
Many senior students at (professional) universities work as student assistants to support other students in working groups, lab work and projects. With input from the student organisation ISO and several (professional) universities, a proposal has been made to arrive at a nationally recognised Student Education Qualification (StOK). Senior students will receive didactic training, mostly more extensive than currently is the case, and receive a qualification (with certificate). The StOK is not intended to make up for the shortage of teachers, but to guarantee the quality of education provided by student assistants. Money has been pledged from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science for a project of 4 years. Utrecht University will lead the project. The University of Twente is one of the institutions that wants to participate in the project, with its existing Learning Assistant trajectory. 4TU.CEE will then play a role in this.
