This Symposium aims to strategize and establish collaborations between the energy and horticulture sectors.
The 2 days workshops will start with plenary presentations to provide a general view of the current status of green energy usage in horticulture, the current challenges, the unsolved problems, the main needs, etc.. And followed by a few subsection discussions and plenary discussion sections.
Join us, with limited spots but with unlimited collaboration initiatives!

Nov.1: Bleiswijk/Priva (excursion to high-tech greenhouses)
Address:
Omnia: Hoge Steeg 2, 6708 PH Wageningen, The Netherlands

Priva B.V.: Zijlweg 3, 2678 LC De Lier, The Netherlands
The energy and horticulture sectors, both well-established with long histories, have become increasingly intertwined due to the rapid development of energy transition in horticulture. Despite having their own collaborative communities, communication and collaboration between these sectors remain insufficient. To address this gap, this symposium aims to facilitate collaboration, bringing insights, opportunities, and partnerships between the energy and horticulture sector. It will identify challenges in horticulture during energy transition, introduce renewable energy techniques to mitigate these challenges, and provide a platform for stakeholders from the energy sector to expand into horticulture. Growers' participation will bring real production challenges and potential solutions to the dialogue. Researchers from both sectors will strategize and establish concrete collaborations for the future.
