4TU.ResearchData is very excited about theĀ NEXUM projectĀ holding its exhibition this spring, fromĀ 30 May to 2 June 2024Ā in Rotterdam at theĀ V2Lab. Nexum is a collaborative initiative between artists and researchers aimed at bridging the gap between art and data representation. The four days of the exhibition will showcase the work of four selected artists working with researchers fromĀ 4TU.ResearchDataĀ partner universities ā Wageningen University Research, University of Twente, TU Delft and Eindhoven University of Technology.Ā Ā
In a data-dominated society, we feel itās important to reflect on our relationship with science and technology through art and inspire social awareness.
Some practical information on the exhibition:
- The openingĀ of the exhibition is on 30 May from 17:00 PM ā it will start with a speech and introductions of the artists and researchers.Ā
- All the artworks will be present throughout the duration of the exhibition. Each day there will be a different performance dedicated to one artwork/datasetĀ and reservations are requiredĀ ā as spots are limited.
- The exhibition and performances are free of charge.
- The overall theme is ādata-driven creativityā but each day will represent the theme of one of the discussed data.Ā
The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for community members to engage in conversations, share their experiences and discuss data-inspired art. For more information, check out theĀ projectās websiteĀ and theĀ Instagram page.
