Join us for the 4TU.Energy Community Day 2025 - 3 April 2025 - Amersfoort. This year's theme is "Energy & Materials Transition – one and the same problem?"

Roll into 2025 with inspiration and innovation! Join us for the 4TU Design United PhD Day on March 26 in Utrecht.

Focusing on the theme "From Crisis to Resilience: Collaboration, Adaptation, and Decision-Making" this session will offer a unique perspective on some of the most pressing challenges in our complex world.

How does an algorithm distinguish between scans of healthy and unhealthy arteries? Can algorithms replace doctors? During this hands-on workshop (in Dutch), specifically designed for high school teachers in mathematics and informatics, participants will learn how mathematics plays a crucial role in medical image analysis and discover the fascinating world of machine learning in medicine.

The latest developments in the science of energy transition will be presented at the third edition of the NWO NERA Energy Symposium.

On Wednesday 30 October 2024 the 4TU.Built Environment Meet-up will be held! 

With multiple sustainability crises unfolding, from climate change to biodiversity loss, from increasing levels of pollution and threats to global public health to increased socio-environmental and intergenerational inequality, poverty and intersectional discrimination, from the digital divide, food and energy insecurity to forced migration and disruptive use of emerging technologies, there is a need for transforming society as well as the way in which sustainability is governed. Therefore, transformation of society and sustainability governance requires significant reordering: one that changes existing drivers and structures to drive change towards fundamentally novel systems.
