Annemiek ter Heijne

Annemiek is professor (Bio)Recovery Technology for Circular Economy and one of the two chairs of the Environmental Technology group at Wageningen University & Research. Her research interest lies in the recovery of valuable resources (energy, nutrients, carbon, and metals) from wastestreams, and she teaches in the BSc course Renewable Energy Technologies. She is one of the founders of the Wageningen Energy Alliance. Building connections between researchers, institutes and industrial partners is essential for scientific and societal impact. Besides work, she enjoys running, hiking, preparing vegan food and family time!
