I am an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Sustainable Energy at the Delft University of Technology. I lead a research team that works at the intersection of distribution systems, optimization, and machine learning to ensure that the city-level electricity infrastructure does not represent a limit to the energy transition. We aim to ensure that higher numbers of distributed energy resources, such as electric vehicles and solar panels, can be integrated into the Dutch electricity infrastructure while maintaining its current high-reliability level.
I hold a PhD from the University of Campinas in Brazil and the University of Southern Denmark in Denmark. In 2019, I joined TU Eindhoven as a postdoctoral researcher at the Electrical Energy Systems Group. In 2019, I joined the Delft University of Technology as an assistant professor.
