Projects funded by the 4TU.Ethics

The 4TU.Ethics has subsidies available for member activities pertaining to the domain of philosophy and ethics of technology. Our incentive fund seeks to foster academic collaborations across our member institutes. Full members of 4TU.Ethics can apply to the incentive fund to finance collaborative projects such as workshops, course days, or other initiatives.

Your proposal will be evaluated by the 4TU.Ethics management team and you may be asked to present your proposal at an MT meeting. The management team then decides on your application.

Workshop on Phenomenology & Technology

When: 2023

What: Workshop that was be organized in the summer of 2023. The aim was to discuss draft versions of contributions to the volume entitled ā€œPhenomenology and the Philosophy of Technology ā€“ Technology as Phenomenonā€, intended to be published in 2024 with Open Book Publishers (open access).

Our edited volume aims to contribute to answering the twofold question why contemporary philosophical and ethical approaches to technology tend to seek close proximity to phenomenology, and what this proximity means and entails.

Various 4TU.Ethics members have contributing chapters.
