Profile
I work as an assistant professor in bioethics with a strong focus on new medical technologies at the Philosophy department of the University of Twente. My research takes place at the intersection of bioethics and ethics of technology. Working with Capability Sensitive Design and Value Sensitive Design, I explore how ethics can be implemented into the design of emerging data-driven health technologies.
I obtained my PhD at the Philosophy & Ethics department and the Human-Technology Interaction department of Eindhoven University of Technology with a dissertation on ‘Values and Capabilities: Ethics by Design for Vulnerable People’.
