4TU.GreenSensors: 3rd project meeting

Friday, 7 February 2025

The team of 4TU.GreenSensor project had their 3rd general meeting on January 13th, 2025, at the Technical University of Eindhoven campus. The primary focus of the meeting was to outline the roadmap for the final product and strengthen collaboration among partners.

The meeting began with a welcoming coffee and an opening speech. Each partner presented their ongoing research, outlining goals, objectives, and methodologies, which were met with appreciation and suggestion for improvement. During two successive brainstorming sessions, the team identified several MSc thesis topics for collaborative research among the partners and drafted multiple ideas for final demonstrations. These demonstration ideas are all novel, sharing similarities at a higher level while also exhibiting diversity in design and principles. This means that partners must continue discussions to finalize the future demonstration(s), which could result in either a single final demo or multiple demos, depending on feasibilities, constraints, and expectations.

A visit to the TU/e robotic laboratory provided insight into ongoing research on soft and haptic robotics, which participants highly appreciated. Later, TT from WUR presented needs of stakeholder identification and selection, updates on data management plan, the project website, and a perspective article, emphasizing the synergies of collaborative efforts.

The meeting concluded with a group photograph and a social networking session with drinks. Overall, the meeting was highly inspiring and a significant step toward formulating demonstration ideas and thesis topic for collaboration, in alignment with the 4TU.GreenSensor projects’ goals.
