Noortje Bax received her degree in (Medical) Biology in 2006 from Radboud University Nijmegen. She developed herself as a researcher with an extensive track record in cardiac and cell biology, earning a PhD-degree in 2011 from the Leiden University Medical Center. She continued her scientific career at Eindhoven University of Technology (Department of Biomedical Engineering). At her adventures trip in science, Noortje learned that close collaborations and the creation of synergy between technology and biomedical science lead to expansion of collective knowledge and sustainable improvement in healthcare. As a Project Officer, she supports researchers within the care and cure domain in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Applied Physics, working to expand synergistic partnerships with medical centers and industry, which are crucial for creating novel healthcare technologies.
