On 3 September 2024 OoCCT & BRAINS will co-organise a symposium hosting Magnus Fontes, general manager of Roche.

During the last decades the developments in bio and digital technologies have led to a transformation of healthcare. We can now, with high throughput, at the single cell level, measure DNA and RNA and protein abundances, as well as collecting spatial information on the measured single cells. I will give examples of some of the latest biomedical insights derived from such data, with a focus on understanding the human immune system and its interactions with intrinsic or extrinsic perturbations, as well as highlight some of the connected modeling challenges that the community currently struggles with.
