The International Association for Urban Climate (IAUC) is a global organization that brings together researchers, practitioners, and experts interested in studying and addressing urban climate issues.
The IAUC is involved in promoting research and knowledge exchange on urban climate science, climate adaptation, and sustainability in urban areas. It organizes conferences, workshops, and publications related to urban climate, provides a platform for networking and collaboration, and serves as a hub for professionals in the field.
The IAUC organises an International Conference on Urban Climate . The two last editions were held in Sydney, Australia (2023) and in New York, United States (2018). The next conference is scheduled for 2025. The IAUC coordinated a competition to select a conference host.
The HERITAGE proposal, led by Wageningen University lead Gert-Jan Steeneveld, was the winner of the competition to organise the next International Conference on Urban Climate in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
