High Tech Systems and Materials Honours Master

With the HTSM Honours Master, the University of Groningen aims to equip talented, motivated students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel at the frontiers of High Tech Systems and Materials. Tackling challenging, real-life product development assignments, working in multidisciplinary teams and individual development are the key elements of this programme.
This programme is followed in addition to the standard Master's programme and has been developed especially for students who want to get more from their studies.
For whom?
The highly selective admission procedure is open to talented and ambitious science students from the University of Groningen (students of the Faculty of Science and Engineering).

High Tech, human touch
Innovation is at the core of High Tech Systems and Materials. To be able to continuously innovate and improve products and processes, the sector is in need of excellent scientists who are able to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, who look beyond the borders of their own field, who are open-minded towards other disciplines and the outside world and who are prepared to go the extra mile every day.
This 1,5 year programme worth 20 ECTS is followed in addition to the standard Master's programme. It has been developed especially for students who want to get more from their studies.
What’s in it for you?
The Honours programme offers intensive, small-group teaching with a group of like-minded, motivated students. The HTSM track offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with students from different disciplines on challenging, real-life product development assignments by the industry.
Students who complete the HTSM Master’s Honours Programme receive a mention on their diploma supplement and a letter of recommendation from the Rector Magnificus of the University of Groningen. This will give you an advantage when applying for positions in academia, the business world or the public sector.
