The Dutch Touch society includes researchers from Dutch universities who study touch, representatives of companies specializing in haptics (e.g., Elitac, Vilans), artists, and other practitioners working with touch. Dutch Touch aims to strengthen collaboration between 4TU researchers and practitioners beyond academia. Dutch Touch is the place to exchange ideas, share current research, plan future activities, and support each other, consequently increasing the impact of 4TU research.
The strategic focus of the 7th meeting in 2023 would be further establishing the presence of Dutch Touch community in the international research scene. Specifically, we would like to introduce ourselves to the British community that is similar to the Dutch Touch community by inviting one or two people from here to our 7th meeting. Hopefully either a joint research project, or a joint summer school could come out of it, as these were two directions chosen for the nearest future development by the Dutch Touch community during the 6th meeting in 2022.
