In September 2021, the 4TU.NIRICT centre launched the 4TU.NIRICT call 2021 to support all ICT related activities that help in strengthening the 4TU.NIRICT community. Applications could be submitted until October 10, 2021 and the funding is available to be spent in 2021.

Bicycles can play a big role in the future of smart cities and can even become a key pillar of a sustainable, safe and effective mobile society. However, currently bicycles are not fully integrated into the new era, which will bring potential risks due to the shared road infrastructures and unexpected cycling behaviour.

The DEI4EmbodiedAI project is the fourth project that has been awarded funding from the 4TU.NIRICT DEI fund. The project is now officially starting and will boost diversity, equity and inclusion within the 4TU ICT Community.

In June 2020, the 4TU.NIRICT research centre launched the ‘’Diversity-Equity-Inclusion’’ (DEI) fund to support projects that boost diversity, equity and inclusion within the 4TU ICT community.

In April, 2021, the 4TU.NIRICT research centre launched the ‘Research Impulse 2021’ fund to support already running ICT research activities or new (planned) activities that could benefit from start-up funding. Applications could be submitted until May 1, 2021.
