RECENTRE tutorial at IEEE symposium
The 19th edition of the IEEE International Symposium on Medical Meaurements and Applications took place on June 26th-28th at the high tech campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. As part of the programme, dr. Arlene John (WP2) was invited to provide a tutorial on `Real world data monitoring and eHealth: towards making informed decisions.’ In this tutorial, Arlene discussed the challenges associated with using real- world data in remote patient monitoring, with examples on some of the challenges as experienced within the RECENTRE WP2 focussing on predictions over time – i.e., quality of measurements, data loss, and responsibility of decision-making. The tutorial concluded with solutions and recommendations for sensor validation and shared decision-making.
