On 29 May 2024, the 4TU-Redesign team of researchers, the advisory board, and members of the Applied Universities met in Delft for the annual consortium meeting.
In the morning, the researchers discussed how to integrate the insights from the different disciplines for designing sustainable, demand-driven and health-oriented food systems. The team further brainstormed about ideas for knowledge dissemination in future events such as the Dutch Design week.
In the afternoon, the advisory board and members of the Applied Universities provided valuable feedback on the research agenda. Important insights concerned consumer segmentation and targeting, potential contributions of governments, health insurers and banks in financing health-oriented and sustainable food systems, the role of retailers in a redesigned local food system, and the importance of efficient logistics.
