Our Management and Support

I am an Agricultural Economist by education, with a strong focus on multi- and interdisciplinary research approaches, which are required to tackle the multiple and increasing challenges in complex food production systems. My research focuses on supporting stakeholders to make food production and value chains more sustainable and resilient. This is key for tackling major global challenges such as biodiversity loss, environmental pollution and ensuring food production. I specifically have a strong expertise on the reduction of environmental and health risks from pesticide use.

I have obtained a PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland before working on economically and ecologically sustainable and resilient crop protection strategies in the Resilience group of CEBC-CNRS, France as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow. Since March, 2023 I am working as Assistant Professor in the Business Economics group at Wageningen University on the Economics and Resilience of Future Food Systems, as a member of the 4TU-Project Redesign.
