Theo Toonen was one of the founding members of the HTSF DeSIRE program during his deanship of the Faculty of Behavioural, management and Social Sciences at the University of Twente. Even now Theo Toonen is an emeritus professor, during his activities nationally or travels abroad he still represents the 4TU Resilience Engineering community within his active international network.
