Since January 2018, the 4TU Centre for Resilience Engineering (4TU.RE) has been set-up, including the 4TU DeSIRE programme. In January 2019, UT established “Engineering for a Resilient World” as one of the five strategic themes. Because of these two important initiatives, we want to build and strengthen a local resilience network/community Resilience@UT, as part of several national and international networks that are being set-up around (aspects of) resilience.

During the weekend of 26, 27, and 28 November, the fourth edition of the Hackathon for Good will occur. This edition is hosted by the city of The Hague and organized by The Hague Tech, in close collaboration with the Hague’s innovation ecosystems.

On 4 November, the Risk & Resilience Festival will take place on the campus of the University of Twente. Academics, professionals and students will share research results, knowledge, ideas and experiences with each other in the field of risk and resilience. What can we learn from the current circumstances? What are we going to do about it and what should we do now?
