New 4TU RE Steering Group members
From April 1st, 2021 Prof. Tatiana Filatova is moving from the University of Twente to Delft University of Technology (to the Multi Actor Systems Department at the TPM Faculty). She has been one of the central persons in setting up 4TU RE, is the programme leader of DeSIRE and has been member of the Scientific Steering Group of 4TU RE from the beginning. Therefore, we are very glad that she will continue to be involved in 4TU RE and continue to serve as programme leader of DeSIRE. In this role, she will remain member of the Scientific Steering Group of 4TU RE.
However, since Tatiana will no longer be working at UT, we looked for a new representative of UT in the Scientific Steering Group. We are very happy that we found two persons who are willing to take up this role jointly, i.e. Prof. Dr. Andy Nelson and Dr. Joanne Vinke-de Kruijf. They will join the Scientific Steering Group as of February 1st, 2021.
- Prof. Andy Nelson has a chair on Spatial Agriculture and Food Security in the Natural Resources Department of ITC at UT. He is already directly involved in 4TU RE, because he hosts the DeSIRE Tenure Track position on Spatial Transformation of Food Systems at the faculty ITC of UT and has been actively involved in the 4TU RE/DeSIRE activities.
- Dr. Joanne Vinke-de Kruijf is a Tenure Tracker since about 4 years (ie not one of the DeSIRE TTs) on climate-resilient and smart cities and deltas in the Department of Civil Engineering at the faculty of Engineering Technology of UT. In 2017/2018 Joanne has been actively involved in setting up the 4TU RE Centre and the DeSIRE-programme as member of the think tank 4TU RE and continues to play a very active role within the centre and the programme through her research and education on resilience and for example also as coordinator of the 100 Resilience Fellowship Programme of 4TU RE/DeSIRE.
Congratulations to Andy and Joanne and welcome to the team!
